Lead Canopy Guides – Positions Available
Responsible for instructing and leading participant groups
on the zip course. This position requires applicants to be comfortable working at great heights.
Applicants must have strong risk management orientation. Qualified applicants will have at least three months of experience as an Assistant Canopy Guide with a proven record of
recommendations for promotion. A skill test and written test will also be required.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
· Responsible for overseeing the progress of an assigned participant group
· Supervises the work of any Assistant Guide or Trainee assigned to the group
· Conducts a complete inspection of all course components and all course gear
· Fits course gear correctly and supervises the use of all personal safety equipment
· Leads the orientation sessions and conducts a proper screening of participants
· Clearly communicates safety procedures and guidelines to large groups of guests
· Provides leadership and training to other staff as approved through the Course Supervisor
· Models and communicates appropriate risk management to other staff
· Contributes to our risk management system through risk assessment, self-evaluation, and
communication
· Leads and/or Assists in course maintenance and inspections

Assistant Canopy Guides – Positions Available

comfortably at great heights. Applicants must have strong risk management orientation. Qualified
applicants will go through a training program and must pass written and on-the-job skill tests in
order to qualify.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
· Responsible for assisting the Lead Canopy Guide in supervising the progress of an assigned
participant group
· Assists in a complete inspection of all course components and of all course gear
· Fits harnesses and helmets correctly and supervises the use of all personal safety equipment
· Assists in a participant orientation session and helps with applicant screening

Training and Maintenance Coordinator – No Positions Available
Responsible for supervision of canopy tour course operations;
this includes but is not limited to training, course maintenance, supervision of all course
personnel and the smooth and timely operation of the canopy tour. This position requires strong
experience and knowledge of canopy tour operations, training, standards and maintenance. All
applicants will be required to undergo intense training with Alaska Canopy Adventures to be
accepted for this position.
This is a full-time, year-round position.

This position requires strong knowledge of zipline and rappelling practices and equipment. Applicants must have strong risk management skills and experience in guiding and supervision.

Tour Coordinators – Positions Available
Responsible for meeting and instructing arriving/departing
guests at the start and/or conclusion of their tour. Tour Coordinators possess knowledge of the
entire tour and are able to explain all components and requirements to guests. Applicants must
have strong customer service orientation and understanding of financial transactions. Tour
Coordinators represent the company to cruise lines, groups and individual customers.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
· Provides sales support for company products; helps with dispatching transportation, brochure
distribution, collection of payments, maintaining sales records, and soliciting feedback on tour
quality
· Establishes a warm, welcoming, and friendly relationship with guests
· Performs the initial screening procedure to determine participant eligibility
· Works closely with dispatch and boat captain to coordinate ship counts and tour allocations
· Remains in constant radio and/or cell phone contact with dispatch and boat captain
· Clearly communicates the problems that may arise due to natural and logistical challenges to

Responsible for planning, organizing, managing and
coordinating daily tour dispatch and documenting services provided to cruise lines and other
customers. This position serves as the liaison between the company and cruise lines as well as
the transportation companies. Applicants must have tourism industry background with experience
in financial transactions and customer service. Applicants must commit to work for the whole
season to qualify.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
· Coordinates and manages daily tour departures and related activities
· Works closely with dispatch and boat captain to coordinate ship counts and tour allocations
· Prepares daily schedules for Assistant Tour Coordinators and ensures timely departure of tours
· Keeps detailed, accurate and precise records of ship financial information and other pertinent
information
· Ensures accurate and timely invoicing and settlement of all tour products for each ship
· Cultivates and maintains a friendly and professional working relationship with all cruise line
personnel and strengthens relationship with the company

Store Clerks – Positions Available
Responsible for cordially greeting guests and help them to find items they are looking for.
Store Clerks serve as cashier, use Point of Sales software, and help maintain the guest areas
(including restrooms, snack area, and de-gearing areas). Store Clerks assist in making and
maintaining snack supply. Applicants must have strong customer service orientation, be
comfortable with cash handling, and have an understanding of POS systems.

Driver Guides – Positions Available
Responsible for transportation of customers and crew in a safe and
timely manner. Duties include a certain level of maintenance and cleaning. Commitment to
safety, a clean driving record and a CDL License with passenger endorsement are required.
People skills are a must, as Driver Guides are required to provide an informative narration.
Training is provided for qualified applicants.

Responsible for the safe and timely transfer of guests, employees and
equipment between the tour site and dock. This position requires strong risk management skills
and knowledge of Juneau and Douglas Island waterways.

· Remains in constant radio and/or cell phone contact with dispatch and tour coordinators
· Performs daily and weekly boat maintenance and repairs small malfunctions
